Larrilyn Cain lost her courageous battle to cancer on April 28th. She would have been 49 on May 1, 2010. Larrilyn was employed with the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Dept. of Labor, Washington, DC, since her graduation from NCSU in 1984. Her parents are Jacqueline T. and William C. Cain of Raleigh. She is also survived by a sister, Janine Hamilton (Steve) of Rapid City, SD; nieces, Melanie H. Bunch (Josh) of Denver, CO and Sarah Hamilton of Rapid City, SD; nephews, Jason Hamilton (Jacqueline) of Rapid City, SD and Alex Hamilton (Madison) of Wichita Falls, TX; a new little great niece, Jillian Hamilton of Rapid City, SD. Larrilyn shared her growing up years with cousins, Kim Tippett Flores (Tony) of Clayton, Kellon Tippett of Winston-Salem, Walt Tippett, Jr. (Sally Scott) of Raleigh and Caroline Tippett of Sims, NC. In Atlanta, GA she is survived by cousins, Mary Bryant Boyle (Mike), Barbara Bryant and Wendell Bryant. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Cenie and Bruce Tippett and paternal grandparents, Katherine and William Cain.
Her cats were her companions and were a comfort and joy during her illness.
Friends and loved ones prayed constantly for her and the family and our appreciation cannot be expressed in words. Larrilyn made the earth a more beautiful place for God.
Services will be at Christ Episcopal Church, 120 E. Edenton St., Raleigh on Monday, May 3rd at 2PM. Burial will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.
Viewing will be at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, Cary, 6-8PM Sunday, May 2nd.
