Preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Louise.
Charles is survived by sons Keith, Kevin and wife Caron; sister Joanne, her children, Jim, Nancy, Dianne, Beverly; niece Susan, husband Bob, their children Bill and Jill; nephew David; Charles’ present wife JoAnne Kistler, her daughters Barbara, Janice, Mary Bea, plus 13 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
Pennsylvania native, WWII veteran, University of Pennsylvania graduate. Charles began his career at York Corporation; he retired from IBM in 1990.
A Master Mason of Rose Lodge, York, PA; Presbyterian Church, Deacon, Elder and Trustee; elected selectman, Darien, CT; volunteer adjunct professor, Livingston College, and Duke University; Charles was also a Master Gardener, avid outdoorsman, and community volunteer.

A memorial service will be held February 26, 2026 at 2:00 pm, at White Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1704 Oberlin Road, Raleigh, NC.
