Dorothy Marie Snyder Brasill

Dorothy was born April 10, 1925 in Canton, Ohio to the late Henry Snyder and Martha Raidel Snyder. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Canton, Ohio class of 1944. Dorothy was a member of Lowell Church of Canton, Ohio and First United Methodist Church of Cary, NC.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Brasill to whom she was married for 42 years; son, Todd Brasill; brother, David Snyder; and sister-in-law, Sue Sharp.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Rebecca M. Brasill with whom she made her home for the last 20 years; sister-in-law, Sandra Snyder of Canton, OH; brother-in-law, Carl Brasill (Pam) of Uniontown, OH; a number of loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511. A funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at First United Methodist Church of Cary, 117 S. Academy Street, Cary, NC 27511. Burial will follow on Friday, October 4, 2013 at West Lawn Cemetery in Canton, OH.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NCLBPH), 1841 Capital Blvd., Raleigh, NC 27635.
