Florence Elizabeth Yates

Florence Elizabeth Yates, 90, of Cary, N.C., passed away peacefully on April 16, 2018. Elizabeth was born in Fuquay-Varina, N.C, to the late William and Zula Eakes Jones. She worked for Almay for many years, enjoyed craftwork, and was an excellent Mother to her children.

Surviving are her two sons, William Stanley Yates of Holly Ridge, and David Wayne Yates of Knightdale; grandchildren, Amy Tortorella, William Stanley Yates, Jr., David Wayne Yates II, Lisa Lynn Webster, and Randy Scott Yates, and 6 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors on Friday April 20, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 21st, 2018 in the Chapel of Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Rd. Cary, NC 27511.
