Frances Claire Salvatore of Cary, NC, 86, died peacefully May 21, 2018 at the home of her daughter. Born October 15, 1931 in New York, NY, she was the daughter of Margaret (Brady) Schweyer. Claire had a long career working for the Department of Social Services in Putnam County, New York.
She was a loving mother and grandmother to daughters, Theresa of Cary, NC, Diane of Perrysburg, OH, son-in-law, Stephen Murphy; and twin grandchildren, Alexandra and Ryan.
In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Paul.
Family was very important to Claire, and she enjoyed spending time and sharing memories. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards and attending social activities with her friends at Heritage Pines.
The family would like to thank Transitions Hospice Care for their support the last week of Claire’s life and her Comfort Keepers caregivers of the past 6 months, Cathi, Claire and Michelle.
The family will receive friends from 4-6pm on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511.
A funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the funeral home chapel. A reception will follow at 1pm at Heritage Pines Clubhouse, 2000 Heritage Pines Drive, Cary, NC 27519.
