Fred leaves behind his beloved wife of 42 years, Diane; 6 children, Cynthia (Gary) Dunay, Patricia (Alain) Chevrier, Andrew Laws, Anne (Louis) De Stout, Jennifer (Robert) Barker, and Raymond (Lisa) Laws; and 12 grandchildren.
Fred graduated from Muhlenberg College in 1957. He entered the US Navy in 1957, and served until 1966. He was a fighter pilot, Lt. Commander Crusader College VF124. He flew F8 Crusaders and F4 Phantoms. He retired as an American Airlines Captain in 1994 after 29 years of distinguished service.
He was an avid USPTA Tennis Pro. He shared his tennis talents by working with ATANC which works with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, August 15, 2015 at First United Methodist Church 117 S. Academy Street, Cary, NC 27511.
