Hiroko was born in Karafuto, Japan on January 1, 1925. She had a career in the banking industry with Sumitomo. Hiroko was a member of Soka Gakai.
She is survived by her daughter, Rumi Watanabe and her husband, Tohshiji of Cary, NC; and grandchildren, Daniel Hiroki Watanabe; Allan Jun Watanabe; Sena Allan Watanabe; and Nanami Watanabe.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Wake Memorial Park in Cary.
