

Jacqueline Bratcher Pierce, ‘Jacque’, was born June 21, 1949 in Ft. Lewis, Washington. She was raised in a military family, and had the opportunity to travel all over the world. She passed away suddenly on Sunday evening, September 14, 2014, at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. Bratcher and Dorothy Moore Bratcher. She is survived by her two sons, Robbie and Ryan; her aunt, Wanda Moore; her brother, Robert ‘Buck’ Bratcher Jr.; her sister-in-law, Miriam Bratcher; her nephew, Robert Bratcher III; her step children, Chris, Lisa, and Kathy; and her favorite dog in the whole wide world, Poppy.
Jacque was a brilliant woman, with a quick wit, compassionate heart, uplifting sense of humor, radiant smile, and unending love for her family. She loved skiing, being at the beach, fishing with her boys, challenging herself with reading a book or more each week, and charging the net on the tennis court. Jacque attended grade schools all over the world and graduated from Prince George High school in Virginia, 1967. She attended Richard Bland College and later graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi. She held many different high level positions throughout her diverse career, spoke fluent German, crafted belts and jewelry, and had a wonderful passion for her family’s history.
A memorial service will be held 4:00p.m., Friday, September 19, 2014 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Rd, Cary, NC.
