Jimmy and I drove up north together,  and he was kind to drop me in the Baltimore area where I visited my daughter and family whom he met. We had a good time of fellowship and getting more acquainted as we drove.

I was sitting by the lake Jimmy loved to walk around. I was playing a flute on a bench with a basket beside me marked "prayer requests."  Jimmy sat beside me and requested prayer for his mother Grace. As we prayed for her in the name of Jesus, Jimmy wept. It was obvious that he loved her very much. Jimmy would visit with us from time to time. Listening to him over a glass of wine I heard wisdom, the kind you might expect from a professional counselor. My wife Leslyn and I treasured his friendship. We miss him to this day.

To Dan, Barbara and Christina, I'm very saddened by the loss of Jim.  Please accept my heartfelt condolences.  He was a wonderful, friendly, and witty guy.   Jim often shared generously what was his.  His keen sense of observation fed a dry sense of humor that put a smile on the faces of his many friends.  

Jim and I met as classmates at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) in the very early 1980s.  He showed a broad appreciation and knowledge of classical and contemporary popular culture.  We became friends and shared numerous hobbies, interests and friends as students in the NJIT School of Architecture.  Eventually, we also shared the rent over the course of a couple of apartments in Newark and in Harrison.  The memories of those youthful college days are treasured not only by me, but by numerous other mutual friends who also remember Jim fondly, and had kept in touch with him over 30+ years.  Jim was a terrific roommate and a loyal friend, and demonstrated that by being one of the groomsmen in my wedding to Sonja in 1994.

The years have gone by too quickly.  All of us will sorely miss Jim.  Godspeed to you, my friend.



I met Jimmy in the fourth grade and we weren’t friends at first.  But over the years we were. We worked on sets together and I fondly remember the weekend he spent helping me paint out tiny house in Hampton bays.  He was a good guy and as things go. We lost touch in college. Life rolls along and stuff happens. People drift and memories fade. But I will always be thankful that jimmy made me listen to Rachel Sweet. Still one of my all time favorite albums   Be well Jimmy.  You touch my life and I’m grateful.

We were so sorry to hear of Jimmy's passing; he was taken well before his time. 

Dan, as you know, I first met Jimmy many years ago when, if I recall correctly, he was at school in New Jersey. In truth we met again only a few times since, but he was the kind of person one remembered fondly, regardless of time elapsed or distance apart. A dry wit, and an appreciation of certain musical genres (that I also shared) made him enlightening and convivial company. It's obvious that others were touched by him in similar ways, and for sure, Jimmy will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

So sorry for your loss.  I will always cherish my countless memories of Jim, you and your family from kindergarten through high school and beyond; including all the times spent with Jim and you, your parents (& Melody), whether at little league, scouts, school, the Catskills or elsewhere.  We had reconnected online several years ago and Scott Stanford and I had a chance to get together with Jim at your Mom's service in NJ.  He last said he hoped to get back to NJ/NYC sometime this past Summer and we all were hoping to see him again soon.

I met Jim as a freshman at Gettysburg College. He quickly became a special fiend. When he transferred to NJIT, we kept in touch and continued  to share good times and adventures. Because of his proximity to NYC, he taught and showed me so much in terms of art and architecture, which my upbringing in Pennsylvania never exposed me to. After losing touch for a number of years, I was so thrilled when we reconnected via social media 6 or 8 years ago. He was a great friend, a very kind person and somebody who will stay in my heart forever.  I am so happy that he was able to spend time with us in May while he was in NJ.

Dan, I am so sorry for all you and your family has been through the past year or so.  Our prayers are with you. I am slowly reaching out to our Gettysburg community and we all share your grief.

I have such fond memories of Jimmy at the Jersey Shore, vacations in Maine and visits in Ohio. When our families were together, I always remember lots of laughter! My thoughts are with you Danny during this very difficult time.💙

Jimmy was beloved by his immediate family and his neice Kristina.  He got such happiness doing fun things with his neice.  I always found Jimmy to be a very vibrant and interesting fellow.  We enjoyed many in-depth, fascinating conversations.  He will be missed by many.  Prayers to his brother Dan at this difficult time.  It is not easy to lose a mother, father and brother in a period of a few years.  Prayers also to Barbara, Kristina and the extended family.

I am so glad Jim and I reconnected recently after so many years. We met at Gettysburg College. I am saddened to learn of his death. Jim was a special soul and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him as a friend.  Please do let me know if services or a celebration of Jim's life are planned in the future. I am so very sorry for your loss of a dear brother.
