James Hoyle, 74, slipped into the glorious presence of the living Lord after a hard fought two year battle with the wretched disease of glioblastoma multiforme. He was much loved by his family and friends. His brothers David, Michael and Carroll and his brother in law, Sherrill, hold him dear. He was priviledged to serve the Lord by working with young boys in his church through Royal Rangers as well as leadership roles in the church.
James retired from IBM after 30 years and worked part time with Agilent Technologies. He also sold sawmills for many years and made great friends among his customers. But the joy in his life was his son, Paul, and his two granddaughters, Lexi and Jamie. His oldest son, Jim, preceded him to Heaven in 1981 and was always missed.
I, his wife, Pat, loved him dearly for 55 years and am so thankful to have been blessed to care for him with the wonderful help of Transitions Hospice and many friends. Please remember James with gifts to the Salvation Army, Gideons or Transitions Hospice rather than flowers.
A celebration of life was held June 16th with James present at First Baptist Church in Cary and was such a blessing to all. We will gather to say good bye in a casual service at 1:00pm on Monday, November 26th at Raleigh Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.
