He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy (Dixie); daughter Nancy Kenney and husband Jon; two grandchildren Rachel and Stephen; sisters Betty Mullen and Jerrie Presley and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and long-time friends.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Raleigh Memorial Park, Mausoleum Chapel. The family will greet friends from 1-1:45 prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Brighton Gardens of Raleigh and Transitions HospiceCare for their loving care and support.
