John Myles Hart

He is survived by his wife of 63 Years, Barbara Hart, five children Maggie Parry (Peter) of Beckenham, U.K; Ellen Doyle (Kevin) of Cary, NC; Joseph (Joanne) of Allendale, NJ; Sheila Stafford (Tim) of West Orange, NJ, and Paul (Stephanie) of Winnetka, IL. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren.

Born in Mineola, NY, he graduated from Chaminade High school in 1949 and Fordham University. He became an elementary school teacher and then graduated from St. John’s Law school. He practiced in various capacities in Nassau County, founding his own law firm in 1980. His charitable endeavors included volunteer roles at the Nassau County Heart Association, adult literacy organizations and the archdiocese of Rockville Centre, NY and Raleigh, NC.

He will be remembered for his quick wit, his love of faith, family and the Fighting Irish. He never met a draught beer he didn’t like.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday October 29 at 12 noon at St Bernadette’s Church in Fuquay-Varina, NC.
