Julie Ann McAleer

Julie Ann McAleer, born November 20, 1980, left us on April 20, 2013. Julie was born in Great Falls, Montana and lived there until moving with her family to Simi Valley, CA in 1992. She attended Royal High School then moved to Tacoma, Washington, graduating from Wilson High School.

Julie and Mike Cozzolino became engaged on Julie's birthday last year. They planned their wedding date to be after Julie's completion of her nursing degree. Julie enjoyed working in the garden, attending Austin's soccer matches, learning to sew and being with friends and family. She also adored her "FatCats", Gin and Tonic. When Julie was young, she enjoyed camping and horseback riding in Montana. She studied ballet for 13 years, then went onto to become a very competitive soccer player.

Julie is lovingly remembered by her precious children, Austin Knips and Chace Lang and by her fiancé, Michael Cozzolino and his son, Keenan. She will also be deeply missed by her parents, mother Linda Norvell-King (William), and father, Daniel McAleer (Ava). Julie was the best sister to her siblings, brother, Greg McAleer, and sisters, Laura McAleer, and Christina and Nicole King. She will also be remembered by her grandparents, Arleen McAleer and Caryl Kilgore; her aunt Cindi Nelson; uncles Mike Norvell and Pat Kilgore; her niece and nephews, Gwendolyn and Logan Axtell and Odin King-Baxter; as well as many dear friends. Julie's paternal grandfather was very special to her and has gone before her. Julie will be missed greatly and forever in our hearts.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 23, from 6:00-8:00pm, at Brown Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC. The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, April 24, in the funeral home chapel.
