Linda Hutton

Linda F. Hutton of Cary, North Carolina, died with family by her side on October 6, 2023. She was born December 3, 1951, to the late Katherine Eckhardt (Geltz) and David Hutton, Sr. She is survived by her son Andrew Chamberlin, granddaughter Cassielle Chamberlin, siblings David, Liz (Jim Coughlin), Gary, and Bill. Also survived by 3 nephews, 5 nieces, 3 grandnephews, and 3 grandnieces.

Linda was a member of the Wilkinsburg High School class of 1969 in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Medaille University in Buffalo, New York and a Master of Fine Arts Degree from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. After a long career at Bristol-Meyers Squibb in Buffalo, New York she retired and moved to Cary, North Carolina.

Linda will forever be fondly remembered for her passion for so many things. She was unselfishly dedicated to the needs of others, in particular the needs of children. Linda treasured being around children of all ages and they brought sparkle to her life. She loved music, poetry, and literature and there was never a time when she was without a book nearby. Linda’s faith and spirituality were strong as demonstrated by her participation in religious instruction, choir, and eucharistic ministries.

Linda adored spending time with her granddaughter Cassielle who brought tremendous joy to her life. She loved travelling – trips across the US and Canada, London, Paris, and many family and friends beach vacations. She enjoyed trying her luck on a slot machine, lottery ticket, or bingo. One would never know when a pink flamingo would pop up and show us her whimsical and fun-loving nature.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 11:00 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary, North Carolina. Family will receive friends following.
