Lois Olivia Smith

88 years ago, Lois put her mark on life. She was a deeply spiritual woman, who loved God, her friends, and her family fiercely. She lived her life in service to others. Always a caretaker- desiring to bring joy to someone else, through her kind heart & warm smile.

Lois was an intensely loyal person. Once you were part of her heart- she kept a space there just for you. She never held much stock in “worldly” possessions; preferring to cherish the soul of others as treasure.

Left behind is a loving husband of 66 years, 3 brothers, 2 children, 3 grandchildren and a legacy of love felt by so many friends. She showed us how to love and give more than expect in return.

While she loved growing up in the foothills of the mountains, she considered Cary her home. Creating, a place where her children learn what was important in life, and how to stand on their own feet.

Her love of community, her family and her faith will nurture each of our hearts. The circle she created will be unbroken.

A celebration of life for Lois will be held Friday, February 11, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 Southeast Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511.
