Loretta Burris Holloman

Loretta Burris Holloman, 77, passed away on February 5, 2026, in the comfort of Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh. Born on November 11, 1948 in Catawba County in Clairmont, North Carolina; she was the daughter of Woodrow and Jenny Burris and the wife of Roy Holloman, of Cary, North Carolina.

Loretta dearly loved all six of her grandchildren - Nate, Gabe, Danny, Emily, Kennedy and Madyson - she would talk about them all of the time! She is also survived by her son, Terry Edmondson; step-sons, Tim and Chris Holloman; her brother, Johnny Burris; and nieces: Kelly Burris and Sunnie Pope, that she was very fond of. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother, Steve Burris.

Loretta was an avid reader and you could always see her with her tablet or a book outside on our swing reading and watching the waterfalls in the backyard. She loved going to the beach, trips to the mountains and to the Florida Keys. Together with Roy, her loving husband, they would travel often to her happy place. She enjoyed looking at her flowers that Roy would plant in the yard for her to enjoy.

My loving wife Loretta was my friend, companion and my soulmate. I love her with all of my heart and soul and I will always love her. Someday I will be with her again! ~ Roy

Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 14, 2026 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Brown Wynne Funeral Home in Cary. In lieu flowers, memorial contributions in her name are preferred to Transitions LifeCare - 250 Hospice Circle - Raleigh, NC 27607.
