Ludmila B. Galko

Ludmila B. Galko, 92, died at Rex Hospital, Wednesday, October 12, 2011. She was born February 8, 1919 in Newark, NJ to the late Edward Adam and Ludmila Garba. She enjoyed living with her family and she was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother who lived her life for others. Her self-less love that touched so many of our lives will be forever in our hearts. She blessed us all in countless ways and the sweet memory of her gracious heart will never be forgotten. Babi – We will love you always and forever and we look forward to the day we will see you again!

Survivors include her children: Mariana Zeman and husband, Anton of Cary and Joseph Galko of Holmes, NY; grandchildren: Dr. Annette Zeman and Dr. Peter Zeman and wife, Jamie, and their son, Andrew; Sandra Galko Sweet and husband, Andrew, and their children, Katya and Audrey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Josef Galko.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, October 17, 2011 at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, 804 High House Road, Cary. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.
