Born on June 2, 1933, in Tehran, Iran, Manoutchehr lived a long and meaningful life defined by dedication, love for his family, and a deep appreciation for the world around him. He was a mechanical engineer by profession, a role that reflected his analytical mind, strong work ethic, and lifelong commitment to problem-solving and building things that mattered.
Manoutchehr was a man who found joy in simple, grounding moments. He loved gardening, spending time outdoors, and taking long walks, often using those quiet moments to reflect and observe nature. Above all, he was a natural storyteller, sharing memories, lessons, and stories that brought people together and left lasting impressions on those lucky enough to listen.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margoth Ismaili, and his cherished granddaughter, Jackie Ismaili, with whom he shared an especially close and loving bond. Jackie held a profound place in his heart, and her passing left a space that was always felt. He often spoke of her and carried her memory with him, finding comfort in the belief that they would one day be reunited.
Manoutchehr is survived by his son, Steven Ismaili; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Ismaili; grandchildren, Steven Ismaili Jr., Isabella Ismaili, and Jackson Ismaili; his sister, Pouran Rezvani; Joe Joyce, a dear family friend who was like a son to him; and many loving nieces and nephews.
His legacy lives on through them and through the many stories, values, and love he shared so freely.
