

Margaret Ann “Peggy” Felt, 75, passed away on May 14, 2011 at the Carolina House in Cary, NC. Born on July 4, 1935 in Washington, DC; she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Augusta Schuette Mann. As the wife of a naval officer she lived in over a dozen locations while she raised 5 children but settled down in Charleston SC in 1975. When first arriving in Charleston, Margaret was employed by the Charleston Museum, then later by Dr. A. B. Pruitt. She was an active contributor to the community, heavily involved with St Joseph's Catholic Church and the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Peggy is survived by her four children: Bruce Felt and his wife Lynn who live in Menlo Park, CA; Ann Felt who lives in Morrisville, NC; James Felt and his wife Michele who live in Greensboro NC; and Mary Felt Crull and her husband Patrick who live in Camarillo CA and her 9 grandchildren: Callie (19), Jennie (18), Kimberly (16), Megan (15), Taylor (13), Will (12), Michael (8), Pierce (7), Simon (6) , Caitlin (6), Aidyn (3). She was predeceased by her son, Michael Felt.
A Memorial Mass to celebrate Peggy’s life will be held on Monday, June 20, 2011 at 11 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Charleston, South Carolina.
Peggy’s wishes were that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation - 739 Chapell Drive - Raleigh, NC 27606.
