She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marguerite (Mackle) Dumont, wife of the late William Curtin of Morrisville, sister to Joseph and Lucille Dumont of Southborough, MA, Anne and Jim Stec of Holbrook, MA and John and Donna Dumont of Braintree, MA.
Born in Boston but raised in Roxbury, MA she graduated from the St. Patrick’s High School where she made lifelong girlfriends that continued to stay in touch till this day. She was very proud of where she came from and “Margie” (which she was affectionally known as) was always up for a party and was usually found on the dance floor doing the latest line dance. She met her beloved “Bill” while working together in Boston and were married in 1979. They enjoyed their time together, especially many nights at the Stadium bar, the Villa, eating late-night Chinese food and New Years eve with her brother and sister in Law. She and her Bill really enjoyed their cruises to Bermuda and never stopped talking about their time there. It was really their happy place. They had been together almost 50 years before she lost her beloved husband in 2022. They fought often but we all know that they were soul mates and really couldn’t stand to be apart from one another.
Margie was very creative, quick-witted, had a great smile, could cut a rug and had an infectious laugh. Margie never left the house without putting on lip gloss and bringing her little pouch of necessities. She enjoyed beauty in any form and was very fond of music, plays, movies, trivia, Facebook and spending way too much time on Tik Tok. She would often take her son to concerts, plays and anything with culture that would expand both of their horizons. She claimed to have never done anything wrong in her life and it was not what you said, it was what she heard!!
She will be missed by many friends and family. Along with her immediate family, she is survived by her loving son Tim and his wife Daniela of Morrisville, NC, step-daughter Diane and Peter of Medford, MA, step-son Robert of Weymouth, MA, sister-in law Evelyn and her late husband George, brother in law James and his wife Linda, brother in law Thomas and his wife Karen, sisters-in law Maureen and her late husband Jack, Sandra and her late husband Rich, the late Patricia, many beloved nieces and nephews and five beautiful grandchildren. She adored her family and always spoke very loving about them and made sure to stay in contact as best she could.
Relatives and friends are respectively invited to attend a viewing on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 11-1pm with a short service immediately following at the Brown-Wynne Funeral home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC. 27511.
