Carol is survived by her husband of 51 years, Brian McCarty; her two daughters, Coleen Marie O’Brien and Kelly Ann Scott; her son in laws, Edward O’Brien and Bert Scott; and six grandchildren, Morgan O’Brien, Kathleen O’Brien, Michael Scott, Christopher Scott, Coleen Scott and Thomas Scott, all of Cary, NC. She is also survived by her devoted mother who celebrated her 100th birthday last year, Eleanor Piampiano of Cary.
Carol devoted her life and heart to the love and care of her husband, children and grandchildren. Her gentle way and sweet smile will remain an important part of each one of us. She fought a long, courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease, showing strength, grace and dignity throughout. She will be missed terribly by many extended family members and friends.
