It goes without saying how much Michelle has impacted countless lives...young and old. My heart is so broken, and I wanted to reach out to Michelle's family and share a story. I am a 4th grade teacher at RDE. About 5 years ago, I battled breast cancer. When I came back to school after my treatments were done, Michelle was one of the first to welcome me back, AND expressed SUCH A TRUE interest in checking in with me each time she came to RDE. We would talk about "LIFE" and she would proudly share stories of her family with me. Often times, she was holding the tiny hand of one of our precious students that she loved so much. Later, she shared with me that her sister was battling breast cancer, and would share updates with me. As her sister began to turn the corner, she would share the most amazing videos...so inspirational...that her sister would send to her. Michelle LIT UP WITH UTTER JOY when she would share these awesome videos with me...and when she talked about her sister. I do apologize that I do not remember which sister....but I would love to make a connection if she feels led. I feel so connected to "you" through Michelle and I just know that would bring a smile to Michelle.
We may never understand.....but we know that she was a true believer. She led her life just as Jesus would. May her family and friends find some comfort in knowing that she is living the most perfect eternal life with our Savior. There is no doubt in my mind that she is surrounded by all the little children that have gone home before her.
MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF HER FAMILY...
Warmly,

My deepest condolences for your loss. Michelle was one of a kind. She was a dedicated and passionate therapist. The thing I will remember the most was her excitement and love for children - most importantly her own children. Her love and pride for all three shined brightly. Michelle will be greatly missed.

I am praying for Michelle's family that she loved so dearly. I have known Michelle for over 21 years. She has always been the physical therapist for WCES. Michelle was a wonderful human being that brought joy to others on top of delivering life changing therapy to her students. She will be missed and always remembered as an exceptional person. We were blessed to have her.

Michelle was my son Jaxson’s therapist for 6 years. She was an advocate for him oftentimes when others would question his ability due to his CP diagnosis & mobility challenges. She loved nothing more than working with him to gain not only his physical strength but also his mental strength. I without a doubt attribute many of the things he’s been able to accomplish in a school setting to her. Beyond the support given to my son, she was a tremendous support to me. This is a terrible loss to our family & the many that her work has touched over the years in JCPS. Her legacy lives on in my son & in my heart forever.

My husband Terry and I send our deepest condolences to the family. Michelle worked with both of us in different JCSC schools, and was such an asset to our schools. She was a friend who would do anything for anyone, and would frequently call to check in after our retirements. We will miss her bright smile and I will miss her amazing hugs. She always seemed to know when I needed one!

I am so sorry to hear about Michelle's passing, and I send my condolences out to the family, especially to Michaela, my wonderful former student I was so fortunate to teach. Anytime I saw Michelle on campus at Clayton High the past few years, she would give me very detailed reports on what Michaela was doing (Brandon too), and it was obvious how much she loved her kids and loved sharing what was going on in their lives. She was such a warm and friendly person, and I really enjoyed talking to her - our conversations always put me in a good mood! You will be missed at CHS, Michelle.

My sincere condolences to the family. My memories of Michelle are primarily of sharing the joys of her beloved children while I was their teacher, as well as updating me on their progress through high school and into college. Michelle would frequently come by my classroom to give a word of encouragement, a quick back rub, and always an amazing bear hug! I count her among the most supportive parents and colleagues at East Clayton Elementary School. An angel has returned to heaven.

I am completely saddened and heartbroken over the loss of this incredible lady. She and I worked together years ago in JCS, and we were recently re-connected via texts and phone calls during COVID, often praying for one another and talking about St. Therese, who was her favorite saint. Michelle cared and loved deeply and passionately for others, and I will greatly miss our talks and her words of inspiration. Much love, prayers, and condolences to her family. She had such great love for them, and she often mentioned her special relationship with her sisters as well. In the words of St. Therese, "Remember that nothing is small in the eyes of God. Do all that you do with love". That is exactly what Michelle did while she was on this Earth.
