

Born January 8, 1950 in Yokohama, Japan to Toshi Yoshizumi and Ikuko Yoshizumi (née Yasuda), Nakako (Nikki to those who knew her well), enjoyed a generous life of service including caring for others in both career and personal capacities, raising two children and a marriage of fifty-three years.
Devoted to enriching life around her though compassion, empathy, joy, generosity, humility, and grace, Nakako exemplified true adherence to Jesus Christ's Golden Rule.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur William Clark, and two children, Tanya Lorraine Clark Van Nortrick and Jason William Clark.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday afternoon, February 15, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary.
In honor of her love of animals, the family would prefer memorial contributions to the SPCA of Wake County in lieu of flowers. https://donate.spcawake.org
