

Naomi graduated from Dexter High School in 1952 and married Harold Dwight Williams, who now resides in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Naomi was a homemaker for many years, and in 1976 she began a career at Hudson Belk, both as a department manager and sales person, winning several Pacesetter awards in her 20-year career. In 2004, she married Paul Vess of Apex.
Naomi enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She was an avid bridge player and played often at the Cary Senior Center. She was also a member of the Cary Reading Society for nearly 30 years.
Naomi is survived by her husband, Paul; and sister, Rachel Caldwell, of Hempstead, Texas. She is also survived by four children: Dr. David Williams (Cindy) of Cary; Daniel Williams (Sarah Jane) of Cary; Caryl Webb (Brent) of Cary; and Christa Gala (Jerry) of Apex. She’s also survived by six grandchildren: Mim Williams Abrams (Elliot) of Raleigh; Carly Williams of Cary; Jennifer Robison (Chris) of Charlotte; Lauren Webb of Denver, Colorado; Ashley Williams of Cary; Tyler Gala of Apex; and nephew Stephen Caldwell of Hempstead, Texas.
The family would like to thank Alma Williams and Beatrice Manthey for their loving care of our mother.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 1 from 4-6 p.m., with the service beginning at 6 p.m. at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home on Maynard Road in Cary. A private interment will take place the following day at Wake Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the SPCA of Wake County at spcawake.org.
