Patsy Ruth Bingham

Patsy Ruth Hensley Bingham (Pat) passed away on Wednesday, February 14 in Cary NC at the age of 86. Pat was born on November 19, 1931 in Harlan Kentucky. She attended High School in Elizabethton, TN and married the late John William Bingham in 1956. In 1967, the family moved to Cary where she was a devoted mother and grandmother. Pat was the rock of her family and was a huge part of her grandchildren’s lives, taking care of all of them at one time or another. In addition to caring for her family, she enjoyed reading, spending time with her friends, her dog Nicky, and taking trips to the beach.

Pat is survived by her children, Leah Ann Seifert and husband Paul of Holly Springs; Carol Calloway of Cary; John Calloway of Raleigh, and Billy Bingham and wife Gina of Cary; her grandchildren: Morgan Seifert, Christopher Calloway, Ryan Calloway and wife Jenny, Rachel Calloway, Michael Bingham and Becky Bingham; and great grandchild Eden Calloway.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank Heartfields Assisted Living in Cary for Pat’s care in the last year and for Jane and Buddy Bartles who were wonderful and caring neighbors to Pat for many years.
