

Paul Douglas Kinney went to be with the Lord August 29, 2014. Paul was born in Poughkeepsie, New York to the late Roswell and Flora Julius Kinney. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Seabee. Paul worked at General Electric for 39 years first in Syracuse, New York and then in Lynchburg, Virginia where he retired before moving to Cary.
Paul is preceded in death by his 4 brothers: Howard Kinney, George Kinney , Roswell Kinney, Jr., and Harold (Chuck) Kinney.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mildred Kinney of Woodland Terrace in Cary; his son, Robert Kinney and his wife, Amy of Cary; daughter, Deborah Jackson and her husband, Collier of Marietta, Ga. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Chris Kinney and wife, Tiffany of Fuquay-Varina; Laura Kinney of Cary, Rebecca Kinney of Winston-Salem, Jennifer Carver and her husband, Rich of Canton, Ga., Heather Miller and her husband, Mark of Marietta, Ga., and Amanda Weaver and her husband, Carl of Marietta, Ga. Additionally, he is survived by his great-grandchildren: Christian, Andrew, Matthew, Aaron, Rachel and Rebecca Carver; Jackson, Garrett, Daniel and Caleb Miller; and Emily and Amber Weaver.
A memorial service celebrating Paul’s life will be held on Friday, September 12, 2014 at Colonial Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Family will receive friends following the memorial.
