

Raymond was born September 20, 1919 in Ellamore, WV to the late Zeno Varner Watts and Bertha Talbot Watts. He was a WWII veteran of the US Army and owner/operator of Watts Country Store. Raymond was a true sportsman and enjoyed the outdoors. He was also an avid bowler for over 50 years. Raymond was a member of Gertrude Chapel United Methodist Church in Ellamore, WV and he could say as the bible says "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Ethel Watts who died in 2005; and 9 brothers and sisters.
Raymond is survived by his son Randall Watts and his wife, Carol Sue of Morrisville; daughter, Sherry Watts Lowery and her husband, Terry of Holly Springs; brother, Charles Watts of Buckhannon, WV; 4 grandchildren, Darrell; Christina; Ashley; and Kelly; 5 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 11 am Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Westwood Baptist Church, 200 Westhigh Street, Cary, NC 27513. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. Burial will follow at a later date at Mt Union Cemetery in Union, WV.
