

Rev. Dr. Israel Rachapudi, God fearing devoted husband, loving father, doting grandfather, avid learner and a leader in information technology, went to be with the Lord at age of 70 on Monday, May 2, 2022.
He was blessed and excelled both academically and professionally. Israel came to the USA in 1987. He has a Master of Engineering Technology, M.B.A from North Carolina State University, PMP®, SCPM and Doctor of Ministry. As a visiting scientist, he researched Artificial Intelligence at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. He retired from IBM as a Delivery Project Executive. He accomplished many firsts. He was the first engineer in his town and member of the first batch in Electronics Engineering in his state. He was the first one to go to college in the Rachapudi family. An enthusiastic traveler, he visited many countries and states both professionally and personally.
He was born and raised in Kanigiri, India to the late Jacob Rachapudi and Devakarunamma on July 1, 1951. He was the 3rd son of five children.
Israel Rachapudi is survived by wife Sajani, three children Kamal and his wife Sonal, Sumita, and Annie and two grandchildren Rohit and Neil whom he loved dearly. He lived life to its fullest with God’s given love, faith and hope. He is also survived by his brother Aseervadam and sister Alice Rathnamma.
He was predeceased by parents Jacob and Devakarunamma and by his brothers Prakasam and Jayarao.
Israel Rachapudi always took opportunities to praise and worship the Lord in every circumstance. He was a blessing to his relatives, friends and families around him inspiring everyone he came across in his life. He was active church leader in Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, Deacon in International Community Church, founding leader of the Telugu Christian Fellowship of North Carolina, active supporter of TransWorld Ministries and a leader and learner at The Shepherd's Church in Cary, NC.
Israel Rachapudi loved serving the lord and accomplished a Doctor of Divinity. He honored the Lord and was obedient to His calling and was ordained as a minister in 2014 in Cary, NC.
