

Rita was born on May 24th, 1949, in Bronx, NY, to Rita Keeny Quinn, now of Cary NC, and the late Thomas Quinn of Long Island NY.
In addition to her father, Rita was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Quinn Jr.
Rita is survived by her husband, James O. Roberson; five sisters: Jean Quinn, Parlin NJ; Laura Quinn, Sturbridge MA; Meg Quinn, Cary NC; Dorothy Quinn, Pennington NJ; Irene Burchard of West Sayville NY.
Rita was the first Executive Director of the Raleigh-Durham Regional Association, the organization which became the Research Triangle Regional Partnership and later was involved with a major local real estate firm, serving as Vice President for corporate relocations.
She was active in community organizations including serving as Vice President of the Women’s Club of Raleigh and was active in affairs of the Garden Club of Raleigh.
She will be best remembered for her love of reading and love of dog rescue efforts.
She had a generous spirit and a special way with people. Always refined and dignified, Rita exemplified grace and goodwill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA of Wake County in honor of her beloved Beagle, Toby.
