I had the pleasure of knowing Ron through your stories about him and your family.  I loved hearing about  ‘myRonnie’ and knew without a doubt that you adored him and he loved you deeply. I pray the beautiful memories you made as a family comfort you for a lifetime. I am so sorry for your loss. God bless all of you. 

Words cannot express the the sorrow that I know you have.  Sherry you always spoke of your husband Ron in the fondest,  most loving way and you were also so very proud of him and the family you created with him.  He is now without pain and he knows you love him.  
Remember he loves you too. 

Please accept my deepest sympathies.  I had the pleasure of working with Ron for the last several years through our involvement with various technical organizations and committees.  Despite working for different companies that were technically competitors Ron would always greet me with a smile. 
We worked together on a couple of different initiatives and co-authored technical papers, and his professionalism, intelligence, fairness and work ethic made it extremely easy to do so.  He was dedicated to both his professional and personal families, and he will be truly missed.  Take comfort in knowing that his impact will be felt in ways and places you may not have realized and that his memory will go on.  Warmest Regards.

I am so sorry to hear of Ron's passing.  Although he and I had not met, you spoke of him with such love and respect that it is impossible not to know he was (to quote my mother...) "one of God's better efforts".  The fairytale romance you two shared was one of a kind, and knowing that kind of love exists in this difficult world makes a big difference in how I personally view life. Thank you for sharing your love stories, your inside jokes, and the occasional slightly off-color tales I felt privileged to listen to. You are in my thoughts and prayers. - Mimi

Please accept my deepest sympathies on your loss.  I knew Ron for several years through our involvement with the ASME code committees especially  our valve working group.  Ron epitomized intelligence, integrity, and character coupled with a dry sense of humor. He was an asset to the ASME committees he worked on and will be truly missed.
May his memory be eternal.

Ron was my colleague and friend at Anchor/Darling then Flowserve for over 40 years.  He is one of the smartest and most humble guys I know, and was my ‘go to’ guy for help with difficult problems.  It was inspiring to see Ron get excited as he worked to a solution and knew he was on the verge when he stood up and started using his white board.  I just watched and said to myself, “Go Ron!”   We often discussed and solved, at least in our minds, many of the world’s problems.
Ron didn’t realize it but he inspired me to go beyond the norm.  Once we were discussing the merits of memorizing Bible verses, while I was thinking a verse or two, Ron was talking about memorizing complete chapters!  He just finished Romans 3.  I am a better person having known Ron.
May God’s presence and peace surround you Sherry, and your family.

Thank you for being such a wonderful husband. Your love for Jesus made me want to seek Him more. Your love for your children, grandchildren and me was so so special.

I worked with "Dr. Ron" at Flowserve for a long time.  One thing that stood out to me was his willingness to lend a hand and provide that level of exceptional support that we sometimes take for granted.  His friendly demeanor and kind heart were so well appreciated.  We used to talk about Penn State football and State College.  It hurt to know that such a friend and colleague was now with God.  The Pawlak family would like to express our sincere sorrow for his loved ones and family.   We know and take comfort that Dr. Ron is continuing to provide his technical expertise and kindness in heaven. 

Dr. Ron Farrell and I go back a long way.  I met Ron many years ago at the Anchor Darling Valves facility in a meeting.  As fate would have it, we bonded as both of us shared complementary interests in modeling the natural frequencies of valve super structures, in design and application of such valves in nuclear plants.  When Anchor Darling moved to North Carolina and Westinghouse began to build AP1000 nuclear power plants, our relationship expanded considerably.  Working together, we published several technical papers for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers conferences one of which was in Prague Czech Republic where we took the picture above.  He was a dear friend, humble, and a good Christian.  We miss you. May you rest in peace.

Ron was a dear friend and a wonderful Lifegroup leader. We will miss your insights into our Bible lessons. We will miss your smile and sweet disposition.

Ron was a very special friend to my husband Rob and I. For the last several years, we visited him and Sherry in October as we attended a conference near them. We loved our time together as we talked about the Lord, our families and had many laughs together. Ron and Sherry had one of the best marriages we've  witnessed and she and her  family will miss him greatly--as will we.  Lynda & Rob  McKenzie
