Ronald W. Kohake

Ronald W. Kohake, 73, died Thursday, October 17, 2013. He was born in Cincinnati, OH on November 9, 1939 to William and Rosella Otte Kohake. Ron served in the US Ai r Force and earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He moved from Cincinnati, OH to Cary, NC in 1977. He worked for IBM for 39 years.

Ron is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joyce; children, Ronald Kohake Jr. (Bedie) of Greenville, NC, Carrie Reikowsky (Fred) of Omaha, NE, and Jill Harris (Nelson) of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Casey and Kyle Reikowsky of Omaha, NE, William and Rachel Harris of Raleigh, NC, and Virginia and Julia Kohake of Greenville, NC; siblings, Eleanor Renken of Cincinnati, OH, Robert Kohake of Fort Thomas, KY, and Ralph Kohake of Bluffton, SC; mother-in-law, Edith Bay of Cary, NC; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Clark.

A funeral service will be held 3:00p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 S.E. Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511. A reception will follow at the funeral home immediately after the service. Private entombment will be at Raleigh Memorial Park Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
