We were so sorry to hear of Rose's passing.  She was one of a kind, so generous, loving and thoughtful.  When we first moved to New York she and Ted became like family to us.  We will always treasure the times we spent with Rose and Ted and their wonderful family.  She will be missed by all that knew her.

My Sister-in-Law, Rose Mary…I Will Miss You                                                                                

As I think of Rose Mary, the months and years fly by in my memory, back to the beginning of our youth as we became friends and were classmates living in Yonkers, N.Y.
Our friendship, our school years together, and our graduation from the same Girl's Vocational High School...all reflected upon as fun times.
We lived within blocks of each other and enjoyed time together exchanging secrets, making fun girl-talk, going to the movies and engaging in our studies. During those days, the neighborhood was always filled with guys and girls, teasing & joking with each other and doing their own thing. When my brother, Ted, and Rose Mary eventually met, I saw the spark in his eyes. His heart was captivated by her inner and outer beauty. And, so goes the story...they courted and married. Blessed and loved for 67 years.
How does one find words that express feelings for the unique woman that Rose Mary was? Well, this I know; she gave of herself unselfishly to family, friends, and strangers alike. And those good deeds did not go unnoticed. During her lifetime and without hesitation, she helped, cared for, and gave unconditional love to all those who passed through her world. 
The legacy she leaves behind to her husband, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren: A long and fruitful life, well lived, with much dignity and passion. Her life lives on through her loved ones. The light will forever burn brightly, for her loving family will keep her memory alive for generations to come.

We have know Rose since her beloved, late daughter, Leslie married our beloved, late brother/brother-in-law Andrew  Beck. Mema and her beautiful smile will be missed by all. I  know she will forever be watching and guiding you from heaven now and your memories will will help.   I'm sorry, she was a  one of a  kind  special woman.

Heaven is now blessed to have our angel. Mema will be missed forever and always, talked about everyday, because no one will go a second without thinking about her. She's the most amazing woman anyone could meet. And made an impact on every person she met. She had not a single mean bone in her body, (except when she liked making babies cry, But only for a second then she would fix it and have them smiling again!) She is my great grandmother, my Mema, and I love her so much. I hate that I couldn't be there with her and see her one last time. But I'll be waiting for her to let me know when she's around. She promised me she would and she wouldn't lie. You're forever in my heart Mema. I miss you so much already.

At this difficult time, please accept our deepest condolences. Rose had a very special place in our lives. I hope to visit and pay my respects when I am in in Durham in July. Please accept all our love from Gus and Rita, Rishona, Scott and the kids, Avi, Anat and the kids and of course from Aunt Esther and me, Uncle Ed.

I found this poem (author unknown) and immediately thought of Rose - "Like a song that remains in the heart when the music is playing no more, Like a fragrance that stays in the air where a flower has blossomed before, Like a poem that's warmly recalled long after the poet is gone....When a life is well-lived it will leave lovely memories lingering on."  Rose lived her life well and has left many lovely memories for her family, and those she touched, no matter how briefly.  She touched many lives and her beauty and love lives on in each of our memories.  As we tearfully say "goodbye" to Rose here, she is being joyfully and lovingly welcomed "home" by God and those who have gone before her.  God bless you all and surround you with His light and love. Our lives were enriched by Rose (Mema) in the short time that we new her, but it was truly an honor and privilege to have had her in our lives.  She will be missed, but not forgotten. Heaven has another angel! Rose was a joy to be around and I am so thankful I got to know her and be a part of her life. She was like a Mom to me in NC and truly a LADY who will be missed by so many people!  We love you Rose!  I know you are in a better place now and smiling down on all of us. It was such a pleasure spending a few days with her in Florida two years ago when we were there for Aunt Mary's 90th birthday - she was truly an amazing woman.
