Sharon Louise Reiley, 81, began her new life with Jesus at 6:45am October 4, 2021 when she died from Alzheimer’s at the Avendelle Shepherds Vineyard Assisted Living Home.
She was born August 6, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan to Louis and Luella Black who preceded her in death. On September 22, 1962, she married Norman J. Reiley who preceded her in death.
Sharon was a 1958 graduate of Arthur Hill High School, Saginaw, Michigan and a 1962 graduate of Alderson Broaddus University, Philippi, W. Virginia with an RN degree. She worked as a hospital nurse in Wilmington, DE and Danville, IL before having her children, then worked as a school nurse for Lima City Schools, Lima, Ohio, before retiring in 1998.
The majority of her life was lived in Lima, Ohio where she faithfully served God at Shawnee Alliance Church in many areas of ministry. Her love for Christ and for people allowed her to impact countless lives. As a school nurse, she not only cared for the students, faculty, and staff with medical needs but also in friendship. She would say her greatest role was that of wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma.
