We are thankful that Steve came into our lives.  We laughed together, cried together, and enjoyed life together.  He left us too soon, but the warmth of his friendship lives on.  Steve was loved, is missed, and will never be forgotten.

Debbie, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Steve was a wonderful man and such a great guy to work with. He loved you all so very much. We miss him and his stories at the Hospice Home but know that he is in God's hands (and is probably having a great time of it!) He made difficult work much easier and kept us all laughing. Thank you for sharing him with us!

I was sad to hear of the death of Steve.  Often when I think of the vacation I took with Georgia to Singapore, and recall the gracious and thoughtful ways shown to us by Debbie and Steve. Oh what a great guy Steve was.  He loved his family so much, thats all he talked about.  His work for Hospice was something else, God will take notice of that.  The Book says that belief in our Lord and Savior will get us in to Glory, I believe that Steve is there, living now better than we can ever imagine.  I will miss Steve very much and it will be hard to say goodbye, for I have known him a long time, 55 years.  All my  heart and love goes out to Debbie and the kids, he loved you all so very much. I was there when he was a new baby. I watched him grow over the years. I'll always remember, on one of he visits (he had been through a low spot, lost his enthusiasm for a short while) when he announced he met someone special. Finding the right words seems utterly impossible!  We were shocked and saddened by the news of Steve's death. We have wonderful memories of the time spent with all of you in California and Singapore that will last forever. Time marches on, things change, but a person like Steve will never be forgotten. Debbie and family, I was saddened to read of Steve's passing.  I will always remember the kindness he showed my husband, Beryl, when he would come and sit with him.  He would always make Beryl his favorite 'grilled cheese sandwich.'  Please know that you have my deepest sympathy

I only knew Steve briefly- my mom spent two days at the hospice center before dying there about six weeks ago. While all the support we received there was excellent, Steve's kindness and caring stood out above the rest. It was Steve who suggested that we wheel my mom's bed outside, which took a little doing. He didn't have to do that, but he did it anyway, and it was the last time my mom would feel the sunshine. Steve was also the one who honestly and quietly told us when he thought my mom would pass away, and of course he turned out to be right. Anyway, my heart goes out to his family and friends and coworkers. May God comfort and take care of you now as Steve did so lovingly with his patients and their families.
