He was born January 6, 1925 in Bronx, NY a son of Frank and Antoinette Chavelli Cossa. He married Julia Valentini in 1949.
Surviving are his wife Julia Cossa of Cary; two sons, Bill (and wife, Amy) Cossa of Davenport, FL, Dennis Cossa of Cary; two grandchildren, Kim and Stephen; three sisters; one brother; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cossa was a U.S. Army Air Force Veteran serving from 1943-1946. He retired after 25 years working for General Motors Company.
He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Cary and the Knights of Columbus.
A memorial mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2015 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow the service at Wake Memorial Park in Cary.
