Wyolene Teal McFee

Mrs. McFee was a native of Wadesboro, North Carolina and was a graduate of Lenoir Rhyne College. Mrs. McFee enjoyed her home, family, cooking, the beach and all her many projects. She was an elementary school teacher for 16 years. She was a longtime member of The First United Methodist Church of Cary where over the years she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and was the director of the Children’s Building. Mrs. McFee was a resident of Cary for over 55 years.

Mrs. McFee was preceded in death by her husband, Donald M. McFee, her parents, the late James Paul Teal, Sr. and Mattie Bruton Teal, her sisters, Martha T. Shaw, Rachel T. Warren and brother, J. Paul Teal, Jr.

She is survived by her daughters, Dael M. Broadway, Gayle M. Freeman and husband Jim Freeman and Kris M. Ellis and husband Larry C. Ellis all of Cary; four grandsons, Bryan C. Ellis of Cary, Bradley T. Ellis of Brooklyn, NY, Christopher Freeman of Durham and Jason T. Broadway and wife Abby of Fuquay Varinia; a sister Patricia T. Allen and husband Fulton C. Allen of Ocean Isle Beach/Wadesboro, brother-in-law Richard McFee and wife Leah of Spencer and nieces and nephew.

Sincere gratitude from our family goes to the staff during her residency at Raleigh Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center for their steadfast care, love and affection for mother.

The family will receive friends from 7 – 8:30 p.m., Thursday, April 28 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 S.E. Maynard Rd., Cary, NC. At other times the family will receive friends at the home of Larry and Kris Ellis (520 Ellynn Dr., Cary, NC).

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, April 29 at First United Methodist Church in Cary, NC. Rev. Dan Lipp will officiate. Burial will follow in Raleigh Memorial Park.
