

Charles proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division and participated in the Bay of Pigs operation in Cuba. His service reflected his courage, dedication, and deep sense of duty.
In May of 1987, Charles married the love of his life, Kathleen Doyle, in Chicago, Illinois. Together they built a life filled with love, companionship, and cherished memories.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathleen Doyle; his sons, William Charles Doyle Jr. and Michael Doyle; his daughter, Deborah M. Haynes; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his close and dear friends, Tom Mahon and Kami Tullis-Rose, who were like family to him.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Robbie Doyle and N.D. Doyle.
Outside of his military service and family life, Charles found fulfillment in helping others as a substance abuse counselor, offering guidance and support to those in need. He also found joy in painting and drawing, expressing himself through art. Additionally, he had a deep appreciation for classic films and could often be found enjoying old movies.
Church services will be held in his honor on April 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Greater Evangelist Temple Church of God in Casa Grande, Arizona. A burial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
