Christina Kuriko Jenkins (Chrissie) was born in Tokyo, Japan on August 2, 1953, and went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 17, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada unexpectedly while on vacation with her family.
After finishing high school in California, Chrissie settled in Pinetop, Arizona, working and managing Charlie Clark Steakhouse. She eventually relocated to Casa Grande, where she met her husband of 37 years, Dennis. Chrissie went on to earn an Associate's degree from Central Arizona College in Early Childhood Development. Before her retirement, Chrissie was a teacher and Director of Early Childhood Education for many years at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School where all her students knew her as "Miss Chrissie."
Chrissie was devoted to her family and is survived by her husband Dennis, daughter Krystal (Paul), step-sons Bryan, Ryan, and Matthew, mother-in-law Marjorie, brother Christopher (Hilda), sister Becky, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and one step-son.
Throughout her years, Chrissie spent much of her free time participating in local community organizations and fundraising events. She was a long-time board member on the First Things First Pinal Regional Council supporting early childhood development. She was also especially active in the ministries of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church; the Catholic Daughters, Two Hearts Prayer Group, and feeding the homeless were among her passions. Chrissie lived what she believed in her compassion, love, and support for everyone around her. In addition to her philanthropic nature, Chrissie had countless friends and maintained an active social life. She enjoyed attending and hosting all types of events with her sorority sisters and her "Glitzy Gals."
Chrissie touched the lives of so many people and will be missed by all those who were lucky enough to know her.
