Eva M. Berger

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Eva Maria Berger, aged 81, of Casa Grande, Arizona, who left us on March 31, 2025. Born on February 7, 1944, to Isabel Avalos and Gregorio Gonzales, Eva's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, creativity, and devotion to her family.

Eva was a remarkable woman, known for her passion for quilting, cooking, and crocheting. Each stitch in her quilts reflected her warmth and kindness, creating not just beautiful pieces but also precious memories for her loved ones. She cherished her dogs and found joy in her outings to Dorothy Powell, where she embraced the moments that brought her happiness.

Throughout her career at AFH, Eva poured her heart into her work, building meaningful relationships with her clients. Her love for her children was boundless, and her greatest joy came from the laughter and love shared with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Eva is now reunited in spirit with her beloved parents, Isabel and Gregorio, her daughter Jobina Annett Berger, brothers Jose Angel Avalos Jr. and Frank Gonzales, sister Annett Avalos, and her stepfather Jose Angel Avalos Sr.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength, survived by her children, Shawn Patrice Berger and Gregory Randall Berger Sr., as well as sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her spirit forward. Eva is also survived by her loving siblings: Manuel Garcia, Hector Avalos, Ray Avalos, Johnny Avalos, Johnny Gonzales, Henry Gonzales, Jesse Gonzales, and Mary "Nena" Gonzales, Maria "Chata" Estes, and Esmeralda Marquez, along with close cousins Katie Garza, Mary Aguero, and Stella Garza, who were dear to her heart.

Family and friends are invited to join us in celebrating Eva’s life at graveside services on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 9:00 am at Mt. View Cemetery in Casa Grande, Arizona.

Eva Marie Berger will be dearly missed, and her love will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know her. Services have been entrusted to J. Warren Funeral Services.
