Marvin Lewis of the Ak-Chin Indian Community died on July 17, 2025, surrounded by family at Chandler Regional Medical Center. Marvin was born on June 10, 1961 in Sacaton, Arizona. He is a 1980 graduate of the Arizona State School for the Deaf & Blind in Tucson, Arizona where he earned awards in track & field and wrestling. Marvin was a true University of Arizona Wild Cats and Phoenix Suns fan and enjoyed working on jigsaw and word search puzzles. He also loved listening to music, and being with this “Kitty” as well as going to the casino. He will be remembered for his sense of humor. Marvin is survived by his sisters, Arlene Manuel (Blaine), Marilyn Thompson and Monica Murrietta all from the Ak-Chin Indian Community along with numerous nieces and nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose & Bernice Lewis, sisters Maxine, Jacquelyn and Annette Lewis and brothers, Virgil and Kevin Lewis.Mass services will be held at Saint Francis of Assisi Church Mission on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. The church is located at 16657 North Church Road, Maricopa, Arizona 85139.
