Robert Owen Braybrooks, age 36, of Casa Grande, Arizona, passed from this life on August 23, 2025, after a fierce and courageous battle with an aggressive blood cancer, surrounded by the love of his family. Known to friends as Rob or affectionately as Fluffy, he was born April 8, 1989, in Riverside, California, the son of Mark Braybrooks and Therisa Braybrooks.
Rob grew up calling Moreno Valley, California, home until 1999, when his family moved to Casa Grande while he was in middle school. He carried a radiant charisma that drew others close; he made friends easily and lived with a tenacity that left an impression on everyone he met. He found joy in tending the earth as an avid gardener, solace in fishing, and excitement in cheering for the Cardinals, Diamondbacks, and Suns. Above all, Robert gave himself freely to the world through his words—through music and his spontaneous, heartfelt freestyle raps.
He was preceded in death by his mother Therisa, his grandmother Peggy, and his uncle Steve. Robert is lovingly survived by his father Mark; his brother Chris and his wife Melissa and their children Carlos, Destiny, and Paris; his older brother Steven and Steven’s children Xander and Serenity; and by a wide circle of friends and relatives whose lives he brightened and whose memories of him will endure.
Rest in peace, Bossman Fluffy. The hole you leave behind is vast, and the light you carried will remain with us always.
