

He was born on March 2, 1948, in Wilkes-Barre,
Pennsylvania, to Vernon and Marie Clegg. Vernon spent
his life dedicated to his family, community, and faith.
On July 20, 1974, Vernon married the love of his life,
Lucille Bell, in Sunnyvale, California. Together they built
a strong and loving family, raising their children, Kathleen
Turvin and Andrew Clegg. Vernon and Lucille shared 51
years of marriage filled with devotion, love, and countless
memories.
Vernon and Lucille made their home in Arizona City
for the past 21 years, after living in Glenhaven, California,
for 25 years. He was a Life Member of the Knights of
Columbus and was known as a man of faith, integrity, and
service to others.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lucille Bell Clegg;
his children, Kathleen Turvin (Casa Grande, Arizona) and
Andrew Clegg (Casa Grande, Arizona); and five cherished
grandchildren. Vernon is also survived by his siblings: Fred
Clegg (Boulder Creek, California), David Clegg (San Bruno,
California), Michael Clegg (Casa Grande, Arizona), Richard
Clegg (Murrieta, California), and Margaret Nolen (Layton,
Utah).
He was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Pagan,
and his parents, Vernon and Marie Clegg.
Vernon will be remembered as a devoted husband, father,
grandfather, and brother, whose quiet strength and unwavering
faith touched all who knew him. His legacy of kindness,
love, and dedication will live on in the hearts of his family
and friends.
