Dean was the devoted wife of Jack L. Perry and loving mother to Tony Perry, who survives her, and Jeania Perry, and Jessica Regan who both preceded her in death. She is also survived by her brother Hollen Crim, while her sister Jean Edwards has passed on. Dean's family extended to her grandchildren Jessica Solomon, Jaime Ascencio, Ben Ascencio, Lisa Perry, and Jason Perry, and her great-grandchildren Genevieve, Logan, and Desi.
Dean’s earliest memories were of helping her parents in their store, where she would sit in the front window to watch for customers in need of gas. She often reflected, "Most of my childhood memories range from pleasant to happy," a sentiment that remained true throughout her life.
Dean pursued a year of business college, earning a secretarial diploma that became the foundation of her career in civil service. Her exceptional typing skills, particularly her ability to type without reading, made her an invaluable asset in handling classified correspondence. Dean’s work allowed her to find employment wherever her family was stationed, including Alabama, South Dakota, North Dakota, Ohio, New Mexico, and even Izmir, Turkey. She took great pride in her work and the contributions she made.
Dean was also known for her generous spirit. She spent countless hours volunteering at Trinity Catholic School and was always the welcoming host, creating a warm and fun environment for her children and their friends with cookies, Kool-Aid, and pool parties.
Dean’s life was marked by love, resilience, and service to others. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but especially her family and the many who were part of her chosen family! May she rest in peace, reunited with her beloved husband, daughters, sister, parents, and friends.
