Augustine grew up in Haiti and resided there with her son until she was 32 years old. At that time she moved her family to Brooklyn, New York where she worked in home health care for many years.
Augustine was a peaceful woman who chose to lead her life with love. Everyone who had the pleasure of being a part of her life quickly loved her. You have never met a woman so slow to anger, who always spoke softly. She was a loving and dedicated mother who made any sacrifice to ensure her children had the best chance for success in life.
A faithful member of the Seventh-day Adventist church, her focus was always on helping others. You would often find her cooking at the church for homeless and the less fortunate or visiting sick church members. When she was not working with the church she was volunteering with different charitable groups or visiting hospitals to see how she could help.
Augustine enjoyed knitting, sewing and baking. She went to school for baking and had a passion for making cakes. She was also very clean and believed that everything has a place and should be in its place. Her sons would often jokingly move things around the house just slightly. This would make all of them laugh as she quickly put things back into their designated spaces.
In recent years she resided in Castle Rock, Colorado to be near her son Mathieu.
She is survived by her sons: Mathieu Cesaire, Peter Cesaire and his wife Odette; grandchildren: Abby Cesaire, Andrea Cesaire, Allison Cesaire and her step-grandson Alonzo Cafola.
