David is survived by his loving wife Merle Wisely of 60 years, along with 2 children and their spouses, Don and Ruth Wisely and Cheryl and Lonny, 3 grandkids, Desirae (Ray), Danessa (Ryan), and Davey (Taylor), and 3 step grandkids and their families, 5 great grandkids, Milo, Kinzey, Teylarae, Corbin and Kalem. His 2 sisters Rita and Bev and 1 brother Tommy. Also, a handful of nieces and nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father Sylvester (Dick), mother Gladys (Darlene), 2 sisters Judy and Billie Marlene.
He spent most of his life on horseback in the Douglas County Sheriff Posse and also rodeo and in leisure. He enjoyed hunting, and jeeping in his younger years. He adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He started his career in the Army, then after discharged continued his careers in cabinet making and carpentry and then the rest as a master electrician.
His number 1 advise to his grandkids was “get as much education as you can, because nobody can take it from you!”
