Dixie Jean Stevens passed away quietly on August 17, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was 79 years young living in Castle Rock, Colorado where she adored visiting with her neighborhood friends and working in her garden.
Dixie was born on April 27, 1943 in New Mexico as the youngest of three children to Clifford and Vashtie Stevens. When she was just 3 years old, they moved to a ranch in Parker, Colorado where they lived a life filled with family and friends. Dixie was preceded in death by her mother, father and brother Richard Stevens, and is survived by her sister Ruth Stevens, nieces Jana Thomas and Garry Sanden and many great-nieces and nephews.
To honor Dixie’s memory, we will be arranging a celebration of life and will announce the details soon. We invite anyone who knew her well to attend and we ask attendees to wear bright colors reminiscent of Dixie’s love of gardening.
