Geraldine B. Walker

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, John J. Walker, III; her parents, Marcella and Russell Blanchard, Sr.; her brothers and sister, Ronald Blanchard, Michael Blanchard, Roland Blanchard and Betty Dufrene.

Geraldine is survived by her children, Deacon John “Johnny” J. Walker, IV (the late Bernadette), Margaret Walker-Whittle and Penny Walker Buckley (James); her sister and brother, Brenda Blanchard and Russell Blanchard, Jr. as well as a host of nieces, nephews and God Children. She is the Grandmother of John V (Jen), Kathleen, James II, Michael “Buddy” (Kristi), Corey (Kayla), Casey (Mattie), Shelbey (Harrison), Joseph, Jacob (Brooke), Emiley and Sarah. She is the Great Grandmother of John VI, Jake, Landon, John Michael, Journey, Gabriel, Ryan, Kori, Noah, Dakota and Grayson.

Geraldine was born in Louisiana and was a resident of Arkansas and Colorado. She loved to crochet, sew, make ceramic figures and bowl. She worked at Norbert Rillieux Special Education School in Waggaman.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 9AM until 11AM. Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday at 11AM with Deacon Johnny Walker officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery, Westwego, Louisiana.
