

Jim was active in sports, excelling in track, basketball, and football in both high school and college. He received his Bachelor's Degree and worked many years in the insurance industry as a certified safety professional. He proudly served in the US National Guard.
Jim had a bright personality. He liked fishing, camping and panning for gold. He was inspired by nature and loved the work of Henry Thoreau. He enjoyed the simple things in life, and could often be found smoking his pipe and enjoying the view of the mountains from his patio.
After the passing of his beloved wife, Patricia, he devoted himself to his 3 children: Paula, Brad and Jeff. Several years later he met Janet Miller who worked at his son's daycare. One night at the grocery store they bumped into each other and sparks began to fly. There were married within 6 months time and he remained the love of Janet's life for 36 years. Jim was a devoted husband, dedicated father, amazing step father, and loving family man with one of the sweetest & kindest hearts.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Bartlett and his son, Jeff Bartlett, who has been much missed by all the family.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Bartlett; children: Paula and Bradley; step-children: Casey and Dave; granddaughters: Cassie and Anya; younger sister Jean Mark and her husband Ron; and older brothers: Bruce and Lee Bartlett.
