

JUANITA BETH BREWER, 65 of Lakewood CO, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018, after a long battle with lung cancer. She was born to the late Homer and Margaret Harrison on December 16, 1952 in Lamar Colorado. She was the second youngest of eight children, two preceded her in death. Juanita and her family later moved to Castle Rock Colorado where she attended school up until her sophomore year in high school, then years later received her GED.
Juanita would later meet Jim Brewer from Castle Rock Colorado and they would be married on February 8, 1970. Soon after, they welcomed their daughter Michelle and their son Jeff. Juanita and Jim had a loving marriage that lasted for over 48 years. She was a daycare provider for several years and loved taking care of children but decided to change her profession late in life. In her 30’s she became a professional hairdresser and loved being around people so much that she remained in the profession for over 30 years.
Juanita became a grandmother early in life. Her granddaughter Amanda was born in 1990, then her grandson Konnor was later born in 1998. She loved being a grandmother and later became a great-grandmother to Amanda’s children Nala, Karma and Achilles. Juanita loved going camping and hunting with her family. Family was very important to her, and she loved spending time with her loved ones. She loved playing Scrabble and just spending time talking around the dining room table. Juanita was a strong, loving women that would always put others needs before her own. Juanita was always a religious woman and within the last two weeks of her life, she was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ at the same church
where she married Jim.
Juanita is survived by her husband, Jim; by her daughter Michelle Wood(Mark); son Jeff Brewer (John); by her grandchildren Amanda Torres, Konnor Downey; by great-grandchildren Nala, Karma, Achilles; by brothers Bob (Mary) Doney , Harry (Patricia) Harrison and Wayne (Patti) Harrison; by sisters Jean (Jim) Hovet and Janet Delgado; and by several nephews and nieces. Juanita was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
