Judith graduated from Lourdes College and received her Bachelor's Degree of Science in Accounting from Xavier University. When Judith met her husband, Johnny, it was by no accident. Johnny's friends wife, Pat, knew Judith and set them up on a blind date. After a 5 year long courtship they were married on March 17, 1979. Together they built a loving and happy home. They worked overseas together for 20 years. Judith worked as an accountant for Saudi Aramco. In 1998 they retired and moved to California then in 2004 they followed their daughter to Colorado.
Judith was an avid catholic and instilled that faith in her family. She was a lover of musicals, classical music, sewing, baking, singing, and of course, eating Filipino food. She enjoyed trying new restaurants, sharing a meal with those she loved and her favorite song, Amazing Grace. She had a passion for traveling with her family to visit immediate/extended family and explore new adventures. She was intelligent with a great memory and will be remembered for her quiet and reserved nature.
Judith is survived by her husband, Johnny Shackelford; her son Jeffrey Flores and his wife, Theresa; daughter Jennifer Kelly and her husband, Mike; sister Irene Sabelino and her husband, Gus; sister Carmen Quitoriano and her husband, Mario; grandson Ellis Kelly, granddaughter Michaela Kelly, grandson Lance Kelly; grandson Jacob Flores and numerous extended loving family.
Judith was preceded in death by her father Leo Dunn Sr.; mother Juanita Willkom Dunn; sister Dorothy Reyes; brother Leo Dunn Jr.; sister Jeanette Aragon; sister Virginia Dunn; brother Anthony Dunn and brother William Dunn.
A celebration of life mass for Judith will be held Monday, May 6, 2024 at 11:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2746 Fifth St, Castle Rock, Colorado 80104.
